Cautions
-When showering, avoid direct contact with water. Let water run down to the tattooed area.
Example: For shoulder tattoos, let water run off the head or neck. For calf tattoos, let water run off the thigh and above.
-Warm water is recommended but excessively hot water is not advised. Pat to dry with towel, avoid rubbing or friction from towel or tight clothing.
-Wear loose and comfortable clothing. If tattoo is along the ribs or on the back, avoid wearing bras and sports bras and opt for bandeau or bralettes.
-Do not let pets or people touch your tattoo.
-Avoid direct contact with sunlight.
-NO gym, beach, sauna, steam room, pool/ocean/jacuzzi until fully healed
-The only water that should be touching the tattoo should be the one used to cleanse it
Aftercare Products
Any unscented, antibacterial soap will do but Dial Gold recommend. Make sure no one else uses it. For unscented moisturizer, any unscented brands like Lubriderm Dove and Aveeno are good. If you prefer to use Aquaphor, make sure to apply just enough to cover the surface of the healing areas.
